In-home sessions can be a challenge at times because I have no control over how much light each room gets in my client’s homes. The beauty of these types of sessions is that there is always a way to improvise to get the light I need. When I first walked in to their home, I quickly scouted out areas that had the biggest sources of natural light. The best was in big brother’s room and second best was the nursery. So, that’s where the session took place. What seemed like dark rooms quickly turned to bright and airy rooms simply by opening up the curtains and moving some furniture around. You’d never know it from these photos!
Baby Hazel was wide awake for most of the session, which I loved! I got some great shots of her bonding with mom and dad. Big brother was happy to let us use his bedroom for our photo shoot. He brought out some of his favorite toys and got excited for being in front of my lens!
