Every once in awhile I work with a new client who I just adore! And this is one of those clients, whose newborn session we captured at home. This couple booked my Once Around the Sun Package which includes Newborn, 6 Month and One Year sessions, plus a linen-covered album with photos from all three sessions at the end of the year. It’s stupendous. It’s a simple and beautiful way to artfully capture your baby’s first year.
I also love when these packages get booked by Wilmington locals because I get to enjoy watching the baby grow throughout the year, and become friends with the family! This is their first baby so of course they were smitten and – add in proud grandma there – the session was super sweet. It was a perfect way to capture the beginning of his life. At Home Newborn Shoot
On this perfect morning, it appeared as though Love itself was present inside this family’s home. And so, we celebrated a birth! The session concepts were without frills, and minimal, for this cozy in-home newborn session that truly filled me with warmth.
Muted tones inside the home and nursery are accented by sweet fabric patterns. Pops of whimsical wall art and amazing window light added contrast. Warm textiles were a must-have, of course, and baby was perfectly cozy for those sweet detail shots.
It’s a session fit for a prince! Not only were his parents enamored, but his grandmother was there to enjoy his first days of life, as well. I think she’s simply amazing!
I loved the nursery setup. How adorable is it? From the elephants blowing bubbles to the beautiful crib, it was perfection.
There’s no doubt in my mind that this little love will have a delightful childhood.
