Baby J | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

I’m so excited that I finally get to share this newborn session with you all! As a Wilmington NC newborn photographer, I’m always super excited to share images from my sessions as soon as I can. But with this one and a few others, I had to wait until after the holidays as these photos were meant to be a surprise for baby J’s  grandparents. Well, it’s 2017 now and although I’m looking forward to sharing sessions for this year, I still have a few from last year that I can finally post. Here is one of my favorites!

This session is good example of how my newborn sessions don’t necessarily have to take place within the first few weeks following birth. This little guy was 8 weeks at the time of the session and while we didn’t get too many sleepy shots, there were plenty of sweet parent/baby interaction shots. In fact, those are the ones I prefer the most. As a mother, those are the moments I want to hold deep in my heart forever and so I strive to capture as many of those tender moments and tiny details as possible. Lucky for me, I get to photograph this little guy again at 6 months and 1 year! His parents wisely booked my Once Around the Sun package which means they will have baby J’s first year artfully captured for them to enjoy over and over again.
