Hey there, I'm Erika! I'm a California girl currently enjoying the southern pace of life in the Wilmington, NC area with my two adorable boys.
Prior to launching my photography business, I studied visual arts for four years and obtained my second bachelors degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I also spent over 10 years working as an Art Director in the advertising world. I loved every minute of it, and am pleased that I have been able to apply my skill-sets and art knowledge from one creative career to another.
I've photographed hundreds of families over the course of my nearly 9 years of being in this amazing business! I love meeting new families and making new friends. My style is natural and authentic. Some of the best feedback I've gotten after a session is "My husband who normally hates this sort of thing even had a great time!"
As a mother myself, I am well-aware of that deep, pure, selfless love we feel for our children. It's that love–that beautiful connection between parents and their children, between siblings, and between proud spouses–that I aim to capture artfully for families to cherish always.
